Carolyn MacIVER - Chief Executive Officer

Carolyn has been a business leader and healthcare executive for over three decades. Prior to joining Adaptive Health, she brought her commitment to social change as CEO of NuMedika whose flagship product, Teledokta, introduced a telemedicine primary care platform into Ghana, Africa. Carolyn served as Senior Vice President with Advocate Aurora Health, the 10th largest not for profit, integrated health system where she was responsible for establishing Innovation Fund & Initiatives, strategic partnerships and M&A and clinical service lines. Carolyn understands the economic, political and cultural challenges facing healthcare systems today. Nevertheless, she has been highly successful in leading critical strategic initiatives that improve care access and patient experience across organizations. Carolyn resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her husband, four children and new puppy Maisie.

Ben Block - Chief technology officer

Ben has been a software engineer for over a decade. He has worked with several startups and large organizations, building custom software to address new business initiatives, enter new markets, and disrupt existing ones. His clients and projects have included global product companies, trade associations, and government institutions; a last-mile logistics platform, a women-focused digital talent marketplace, and a hospitality and sales management system, among others. Unafraid of tackling complex problems, Ben joined ScaleDown in 2015 as VP of Engineering to help automate a clinically-proven personalized weight management and behavior change program. Enviable growth, profitability, and impressive user outcomes led to a successful acquisition by Anthem Insurance just a few years later. Before learning to code, Ben began his career in business development and operations - experience which equips him with unique insight into the perspectives and concerns of non-technical stakeholders. He lives in Chicago with his wife and adorable toddler.
